Impulse Pittsburgh is back with a vengeance! Following a recent survey, we took a mini-break to decipher changes we could make to provide a better experience for you ladies. We have discovered and catered to what YOU’RE looking for out of a night-time party experience for LGBT women. This is an extremely special month for us, because exactly 1 year ago, Impulse premiered its first party! Here we are, a year later, and we are happy to be making some amazing improvements. Without further adieu, here are the details:

About the Event

Location: North Shore Saloon
Date: Saturday January 28th, 2012
Time: 9PM- 2AM
Cost to get in the door: $5

This month, we’re going to North Shore Saloon! A classy sports bar next to the stadiums, this location will be moving all the tables for us to provide for a massive dance floor. There are 2 floors, with the bottom floor as a bar/dance area and the top floor as a more quiet tiki bar (literally- the bars are huts!). The DJ will be pumping all the top 40′s and modern dance tunes that you enjoy downstairs. The dance floor is an actual painted football field with yard lines (perfect for January football fever and the playoffs!) The bar staff is wonderful here: VERY supportive, VERY respectful, and are numerous to take your drink orders!

Theme

We’re bringing back the bracelets theme! This will be a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. The idea is that when you get to the event, we will give you a wristband to wear, and you have the choice of the following colors:

Cocktails

Yellow: Single
Blue: In a Relationship and just looking for friends
Red: Kinky

You can also opt out of wearing any wristband if you would like to not participate, which is totally fine! For you ladies wearing long shirts/sweaters, we recommend just sticking the bracelet tightly around the outside of your shirt sleeve

Photographer and DJs

Our DJ, Stephanie Crooks, will be pumping top 40′s dance tunes all night long (with a surprise song here and there)! She takes requests!

Photographer to capture more sexy/cute/insane moments. If you want a group picture with your friends for Facebook, feel free to ask our photographer! If you don’t want any record of this night, add your name to our list at the front table, and we’ll make sure not to put up any pics of you

Food and drinks

The owner is providing FREE food!! Wings and pierogies from 9 till 10:30, so get your munch on. Furthermore, we are providing a host of drink specials, per your request!

$3 Miller Lites
$3 Well Drinks
$4 Wines- Red and White
$5 Top Shelf Liquor

And for only $3, introducing the drink of the night: The Impulse Cocktail. A fruity concoction, see if you like it

Parking Lot

We are trying to work something out with a lot and will let you know further details! However, on-street parking isn’t an issue during the night (there is nothing going on in the North Shore that evening), and there are some parking garages in that same block at rates of only $5 for the entire night.

For your information

Impulse is doing a bit of a face lift by offering bigger and better things! We’re going to be working with a couple loyal bars that we’ll be switching between each month to offer more variety. We are working on some really unique themes. We are also working on getting the word out via advertisement cards that has our info on it. If you are interested in meeting us to pick up a few of these cards and hand them out to people you know or just put them on the walls of local businesses, we will let you in free to our next party!!
